And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. ” (John 14:1-3) There’s a post being shared over the past few days about hoping that 2024 is as wonderful as 2023 was terrible. It’s a natural but unrealistic hope. That’s not a prediction that 2024 will be terrible. It’s a prediction that if, toward the end of 2024, things aren’t marvelous, wonderful, and better than could be imagined that it could be, we’ll finish 2024 saying that it was a miserable year and hope that 2025 will be better.
