May the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power
of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13
Hope is the belief that things can improve if they aren’t as we’d like or remain if they are. Joy is the belief that one is being cared for by someone who is capable of doing so. Peace is agreement, or submission when agreement is lacking. Trust? Trust is continuing to believe and to do those things even when it doesn’t look like anything you want to happen is happening.

So...
may the God who can make things better and keep them good (hope) fill you with
the belief that you are cared for and that He is willing and able to care for
you (joy), and with the with agreement with Him (peace) as you continue to believe
(trust) that He can make things better (hope), that He will take care of you
(joy), and that His way is best (peace), so that you may overflow with the belief
that things can and will get better (hope) by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I don’t know about you, but in this next week, I need to have this verse tacked up where I can see it.
